Pintér Tibor: Funeral In Autumn (Temetés ősszel in English)

Portre of Pintér Tibor

Temetés ősszel (Hungarian)

In memoriam Kiss Balázs

Butatelefonomban őrzöm
számaid - mint egyre növő
számú halottaimét, immár a
tiéd is.

Kedvem lenne rádcsörgetni,
hallgatni lassú hangod mély
rezdülését és persze meg-
beszélnénk valamit.

Favágást, elméleteket,
művészetet, nőket, képeket,
zenét, könyveket, gyerekeket,
a világot.

Gyönyörű ősz van, kiülnénk
a kertbe, a lombok közötti
pazarló aranylásba.

Koccintanánk egy pohár
borral és te szakértőn ele-
meznéd a tannin és sav
összetevőket.

Halálodról beszélgetnénk,
úgy mint volt, szelíden,
tudva a jövőt, ami végleg
eljött.

És ott, abban a képzelt
fényben, talán minden
egészen máshogy
végződne.

Funeral In Autumn (English)

In memoriam Balázs Kiss

In my stupidphone I keep your
numbers – like those of the increasing
number of my dead, and now already
yours, too.

I feel like ringing you up
and listen to the deep vibrations
of your voice and sure, we’d
discuss something.

Woodcutting, theories,
art, women, pictures,
music, books, children,
the world.

This autumn is beautiful, we’d
sit under the leafy boughs in the
lavishing glitter of gold.

We’d clink our glasses of
wine and you’d analyze as an
expert the tannin and acid
components.

We’d talk about your death,
like we did, tenderly,
knowing the future that once and
for all is here.

And there in that imagined
light, maybe this all would
have a totally different
outcome.
