Herrick, Robert: A Child's Grace

Portre of Herrick, Robert

A Child's Grace (English)

Here a little child I stand

Heaving up my either hand;

Cold as paddocks though they be,

Here I lift them up to Thee,

For a benison to fall

On our meat and on us all. Amen.

Asztali áldás gyermeknek (Hungarian)

Itten állok, csöpp gyerek,

égre nyújtok két kezet,

bár varangy-hideg legyen,

mégis Hozzád emelem,

hogy áldásod küldd, Atyánk,

ételünkre és reánk. Ámen.
