The evening falls with snow
beginning again, halving
the trees into whiteness,

like snow I watch tonight,

Leszáll az este, ismét
rákezd a hó, a fákat
fehérbe vonva félig,
s engem egy újabb év

vége felé sodorva.
Mit is küldhet vajon
neked, az elhagyottnak?
Önmagad túlélője, tőled

visszakapom a múltat
az elveszett idő
nélkül, míg elfelejtem,
mit idő meg nem adhat.

Most már mindig így érkezem:
halál és gyász helyett is
az élettel, melyet csak
