Shakespeare, William: O Mistress Mine

Portre of Shakespeare, William

O Mistress Mine (English)

In Twelfth Night

O Mistress mine, where are you roaming?

O, stay and hear; your true love's coming,

That can sing both high and low:

Trip no further, pretty sweeting;

Journeys end in lovers meeting,

Every wise man's son doth know.

What is love? 'Tis not hereafter;

Present mirth hath present laughter;

What's to come is still unsure:

In delay there lies not plenty;

Then, come kiss me, sweet and twenty,

Youth's a stuff will not endure.

Óh, drága, állj meg (Hungarian)

Dal a Vízkeresztből

 Óh, drága, állj meg, kár szaladnod,

óh, halld a nótám: hű galambod

dala földről égbe kel.

Várni? lesni? Soha többé:

az este a szeretőké:

tudja minden siheder.

Mi a csók? Ma! Sose holnap!

Ma nevetsz, hát ma karollak!

Kétes álom a világ.

Halogatva hűl a kedved.

Csókot, édes, huszonegyet -

mert repül az ifjuság!...
