Desde mi vieja orilla, desde la fe que siento,

hacia la luz primera que toma el alma pura,

voy contigo, hijo mío, por el camino lento

de este amor que me crece como mansa locura.

 

Voy contigo, hijo mío, frenesí soñoliento

de mi carne, palabra de mi callada hondura,

música que alguien pulsa no sé dónde, en el viento,

no sé dónde, hijo mío, desde mi orilla oscura.

 

Voy, me llevas, se torna crédula mi mirada,

me empujas levemente (ya casi siento el frío);

me invitas a la sombra que se hunde a mi pisada,

Vénséges partjaimról, biztosnak vett hitemtől,

az első fényirányba ha tart a tiszta lélek,

megyek veled, fiacskám, e lassú út a kettőnk

útja: szerelmem felnőtt, s szelíd őrületté lett.

 

Megyek veled, fiacskám, testem mélán merengő

tombolása, bensőmben szava a szótlan mélynek,

zene, mit nem tudom, ki s hol küld a szélbe zengőn

homályos partjaimról, fiam, ki tudja? Én nem.

 

Már te vezetsz, s szememben újra fény gyúl, hiszékeny,

lágyan elirányítgatsz (a hideg szinte megcsap);

árnyékba invitálsz, hol süppedni kezd a léptem,

 

kezemnél húzol... Nem tudsz semmit, ebben hiszek csak

rád hagyom magam, nem jut, ha szeretsz, semmi nékem,

mindegy, fiam, hol-merre, magányom el sosem hagy.
