Tanítás a szerelemről (Hungarian)

Pethes Máriának

Bolygók robbanhatnak szét,
összekuszálódhat
a világmindenség évmilliárdos rendje,
de a “primo amore”
– az elsődleges, az ősszerelem –
lebegni fog
az elnéptelenedett világűrben is,
mint az Úr lelke a vizek felett.

És ha moccanó életet észlel
bárhol az univerzumban:
azonnal beleköltözik,
mert a halhatatlan szerelem
csakis halandók izzó tavaszában
hajthat virágot, csodaszépet.

Ám ehhez az kell,
hogy újra halandók legyünk,
nem pedig gépek.

Így vetve véget rosszkedvünk telének.

A teaching about love (English)

For Maria Pethes

Planets can explode,
The universe's billion-year order
can become entangled,
but a "primo amore"
- the elemental, primordial love -
will soar,
even in de-populated outer space
like the spirit of God over the waters.

And if it locates stirring life
anywhere in the universe,
it immediately inhabits it,
because only in the glowing spring of mortals
can immortal love
bear flowers of wondrous beauty.

But this requires
that we be mortals again,
and not machines.

Thus, putting an end to the winter of our discontent.
