Amikor a Világ Ura megteremtette
az első embert, így tanította Reb Taub,
csak lelket teremtett, amely lebegett
a föld fölött, fejjel lefelé. A bal lábát

hol keresztbe tette, hol meg kinyújtotta.
Így függött a Mindenségen keresztül,
miközben a lába lassan távolodott a földtől.
Látta a Mindenek Ura, hogy nem tud

járni, ezért teremtett neki testet is,
amely a földhöz kötötte. A testet
Ruachnak nevezte el, melyet Évának

is mondanak. És amikor ez Árnyékot
vetett a földre, azt hívták Ádámnak.

Quando il Signore del Mondo aveva creato
il primo uomo, così insegnava Reb Taub,
aveva creato solo l’anima, la quale librava
sopra la terra, con la testa all’ingiù. A volte,
 
incrociava la gamba sinistra, a volte l’allungava.
Così pendeva attraverso l’Universo, mentre la
sua gamba lentamente s’allontanava dalla terra.
Vide il Signore di tutte le cose, che non era in
 
grado di camminare, perciò le creò anche un
corpo, il quale la lego alla terra. Il corpo aveva
chiamato Rauch, ma viene chiamata pure Eva.
 
E quando questa proiettò la sua Ombra
sulla terra, quello lo chiamarono Adamo.
