     – Rozsda.
     – Nem fiam, ezt az iparban revének hívják. Na, akkor fogd be a satuba, ezt fogod reszelni.
     – Mit reszeljek belőle?
     – Reszeld, fiam, amíg elfogy, utána kapsz egy másikat.

The first morning (English)

September one, six a.m. After some consultation, they let me go inside the factory. For much of an hour I go from floor to floor before it becomes clear that those starting first year start on the third of the month. But, they say, if you are already here, don’t go home.
They take me into a workshop where they tinker with instruments. They smile at me, tell me to look around. I look around, they smile at me from time to time. Then along comes an older man in a blue dust coat.
     - If you are already here, don’t stand about - he says, bends down and picks up a fist-size rusty iron block from the floor.
     - You know what’s on this?
     - Rust.
     - No son, that is called scale in the trade. Well then, put it in the vice, you’ll be filing this.
     - What should I file from it?
     - File it son until it’s gone, you’ll get another piece afterwards.
