Dialóg na každý deň (Slovak)

Bláznivá pošta posiela nám ženy
napoly rozbalené. Takmer presvitá
trhlina v strede. Čiarka na pohári,
po ktorú stačí mužom na opitie,
na krutosť, prienik, nehu zdivenú:

„Až po tú čiaru doplna a na ex!
A po vypití pohár o stenu.“

Ony však vedia o tom. Spustia búrku,
malíčkom, ako očko na pančuche.
A celým telom spievajú:

„Kam plávaš,
opitý Noe, na deravom člne?“

Everyday Dialogue (English)

A crazy post sends us women
the wrapping half-undone. You almost see
the split down the middle. The mark on the cup
at which men reach intoxication,
cruelty, overlap, wild gentleness:

„Down to that mark in one gulp, and then bottoms up!
And smash the empty glass against the wall.”

But women know about it. They unleash a storm
with their little fingers, like a laddered stocking.
And with their whole bodies they sing:
„Where are you sailing off to,
drunken Noah, in your leaky boat?’
