U vazduh hitnula belutak

Gde je belutak

Na zemlju se nije vratio

Na nebo se nije popeo

Šta j s belutkom

Jesu li ga visine pojele

Je li se u pticu pretvorio

Eno belutka

Ostao je tvrdoglav u sebi

Ni na nebu ni na zemlji

Samog sebe sluša

Među svetovima svet

A hand springs out of the earth

It throws the pebble in the air

Where is the pebble

It didn't return to earth

Nor did it climb to heaven

What happened to the pebble

Did the heights devour it

Did it change into bird

Here is the pebble

It remained stubborn in itself

Neither on earth nor in heaven

It listens to itself

Among the worlds a world.
