Rainer Brambach (1917-1983) svájci költő, Baselban született. Nyolcosztályos általános iskolát végzett, szobafestő, tőzegfejtő munkás, majd kertész volt, 1961 óta szabadfoglalkozású író. 1955-ben a Hugo Jacobi-alapítvány díjával, 1958-ban a Német Ipar Kulturális Egyesülete díjával tüntették ki.
