Heinrich Theodor Fontane (* 30. Dezember 1819 in Neuruppin; † 20. September 1898 in Berlin) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller und approbierter Apotheker. Er gilt als bedeutendster deutscher Vertreter des poetischen Realismus.
