Er ging. Die Häuser waren alle groß.

Am lichten Himmel standen schon die Sterne.

Die Erde war den Winter wieder los.

Er fühlte seine Stimme in der Kehle

Und hatte seine Hände wieder gerne.

 

Er war sehr müde, aber wie ein Kind.

Er ging die Straße zwischen vielen Pferden.

Er hätte ihre Stirnen gern berührt

Und rief ihr frühres Leben sich zurück

Mit unbewußten streichelnden Gebärden.

Ment, ment. A házak mind-mind oly nagyok.

A csillagok kiültek már remegve.

A tél elmúlt, először nem fagyott.

Újból torkában érezte a hangját,

és a kezét végre megint szerette.

 

Fáradt volt, ám csak úgy, mint egy gyerek.

Az esti utca tele volt lovakkal.

Megsimogatta volna homlokuk,

hívogatva múlt életük magához

titkos cirógató mozdulatokkal.
