Κι ἂν ὁ ἀγέρας φυσᾶ δὲ μᾶς δροσίζει
κι ὁ ἴσκιος μένει στενὸς κάτω ἀπ᾿ τὰ κυπαρίσσια
κι ὅλο τριγύρω ἀνήφοροι στὰ βουνὰ
μᾶς βαραίνουν
οἱ φίλοι ποὺ δὲν ξέρουν πιὰ πῶς νὰ πεθάνουν.
