Blake, Ian: Seana Camus*

Portre of Blake, Ian

Seana Camus* (English)

The tide has a thousand tongues
which lap the shore
ebbing flowing
shrinking growing
beyond the breakers’ roar
shrinking growing
ebbing flowing
reluctant to withdraw
deep in the sea’s dark throat
a gaping maw
implacable insatiable
eager to swallow more
unyielding unforgiving
as the swirling tides of living.

*Seana Camus, Melvich. I took a side road to Melvich to spend the evening camping, and managed to get up to the Marilyn of An Cuaidh a few hours after dawn.

Seana Camus* (Hungarian)

A dagálynak ezer nyelve van
mely nyaldossa a partot
apadó áramlás
csökken növekszik
hullámtörőkön túl morajlik
csökken növekszik
apadó áramlás
vonakodón visszavonul
mélyen a tenger sötét torkába
a tátongó pofába
kérlelhetetlen telhetetlen
mohón elnyelne többet
makacs engesztelhetetlen
mint az élet kavargó árapálya.

*Seana Camus, egy partszakasz Skóciában, Melvich közelében.
