Clampitt, Amy: Continental Drift

Portre of Clampitt, Amy

Continental Drift (English)

As from a freckling on
the paving to a mottling
to a merging blur, the rain
invest a continent of
inundation or
as the minute sharp, shining
leaf buds at each
twig-tip of the
linden in the garden
open from translucent
dappling to an overlapping
gloom of green, of
summer shadow
that will yellow

and unroof, leaf
by down-drilling leaf,
into a fallen continent,
a sediment of leaf mold,
the seethe of entity
undoes what’s done,
the sieve unselves,
the drift within
proceeds from dark
to dark, from rift to
rift, from mooring
to castoff
off uncharted
continental shelves

Földrészsodródás (Hungarian)

Ahogy az úttest meg a járda
pettyezetéből foltokat,
maszatokat formáz, az eső
megalkotja az elárasztás
földrészét: vagy
ahogy a pici, éles, fényes
levélrügy minden
gallyhegyen a
kerti hársfán, nyílva,
áttetsző pettyezetből
mindent elborító zöld
derengetéssé lesz,
nyári árnyul,
mely majd sárgul

és széthull, levél
lesodródó levélre,
s támad egy bukott földrész,
levéltrágya-alap,
a teljesség zubogása
szétszedi, ami egy volt,
köteléke elköt,
a benső sodródás
visz, visz sötétből
sötétbe, szakadékból
szakadékba, romlásból
hulladék-létbe,
alakul a térképe-nincs
földrész talapzatvidéke
