Joyce, James: Kamarazene XXV (Chamber Music XXV in Hungarian)

Portre of Joyce, James

Chamber Music XXV (English)

Lightly come or lightly go

Though thy heart presage thee woe,

Vales and many a wasted sun,

Oread let thy laughter run

Till the irreverent mountain air

Ripple all thy flying hair.

Lightly, lightly — ever so:

Clouds that wrap the vales below

At the hour of evenstar

Lowliest attendants are

Love and laughter songconfessed

When the heart is heaviest.

Kamarazene XXV (Hungarian)

Könnyedén suhanj, lebegj,

Bánatot súg bár szíved,

Völgyek, elperzselt napok,

S nimfák kísérjék kacajod,

Mig pajkosan kap szökellő

Hajadba a hegyi szellő.

Lágyan, könnyen, nesztelen —

Felhők ültek a völgyre lenn;

Hű kísérő, fürge mind,

Ha az alkonycsillag int.

A szerelem kacagni kész,

Ha a szív túlontúl nehéz.
