And, as the ray of sun on hanging flowers

Fades when the wind hath lifted them aside,

Went swiftly from me. Nay, whatever comes

One hour was sunlit and the most high gods

May not make boast of any better thing

Than to have watched that hour as it passed.

"Gracias, venga lo que viniere" y volviéndose,

como un rayo de sol sobre flores colgantes

ensombrece cuando el viento las alza a un lado.

Me dejó. No, venga lo que viniere

Hubo una hora iluminada por el sol, y los más altos dioses

no pueden jactarse de nada mejor

que de haber contemplado a su paso esa hora.
