Near the school for handicapped children (English)His hat is rammed on his shirt jerks at his body feet cannot hold in the sway he cannot keep still. When I see his face it is freckled to remind me of nephews his limbs remind me of how straight is my own spine and that I take my fingers for granted. He is waiting for the green light
My fingers clench I am hurt by my wholeness I cannot take my eyes from him I fear my daughter may be watching He has been dressed carefully I'm here I'm here I'm here his whole struggle rasps me like a whisper
and when the lights do change he slips across the road he skips he skips he dances and skips leaving us all behind like a skimming tamborine brittle with music.

Közel a fogyatékos gyermekek iskolájához (Hungarian)Kalapja félreáll inge ráng a testén lábával szüntelenül lóbál nem tud megnyugodni. Amikor szeplős arcát látom unokaöcséim jutnak az eszembe végtagjai arra emlékeztetnek hogy milyen egyenes az én gerincem és hogy az ujjaimat is természetesnek veszem. A kisfiú épp zöld lámpára vár.
Ujjaim összeszorulnak szinte fáj hogy ép vagyok nem tudom levenni róla a szemem csak észre ne vegye a lányom A kisfiút gondosan felöltöztették itt vagyok itt vagyok itt vagyok erőlködése akár egy suttogás
és amikor a lámpa zöldre vált ő átszökdécsel az úton szökken biccen szökken táncol mégis mindannyiunkat itthagy mint a zene törékeny forgatagában tovatűnő tamburin.
