Quizás si la muerte es generosa y existe un retorno
volveremos una fragante noche a la tierra
y por estos caminos hasta la mar, y agachándonos
aspiremos la misma madreselva, pequeña y blanca.
 
De noche bajaremos a estas playas sonoras
y al largo y gentil trueno del mar,
y aquí, durante una simple hora de brillante luz,
seremos felices, pues los muertos son libres.
