Cézanne at Aix (English)
And the mountain: each day
Immobile like fruit. Unlike, also
- Because irreducible, because
Neither a component of the delicious
And therefore questionable,
Nor distracted (as the sitter)
By his own pose and, therefore,
Doubly to be questioned: it is not
Posed. It is. Untaught
Unalterable, a stone bridgehead
To that which is tangible
Because unfelt before. There
In its weathered weight
Its silence silences, a presence
Which does not present itself. Uploaded by | P. T. |

Cézanne en Aix (Spanish)
Y el monte: cada día
Inmóvil como fruto.
Y también: no como fruto.
Irreductible: ni parte de la delicia
(Y por eso discutible) ni distraído.
Como el modelo, por su pose.
Y por esto, y doblemente
Ser discutido: no fue colocado.
Innato, inalterable.
Pétrea cabeza de puente tendido
Hacia lo nunca sentido antes:
Lo tangible. Allá
En su mole curtida,
Su silencio silencia:
Presencia que no se presenta.
