Yeats, William Butler: A Drinking Song

Portre of Yeats, William Butler

A Drinking Song (English)

Wine comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That’s all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
I look at you, and I sigh.

Bordal (Hungarian)

Szemedé a szerelem,
A bor kapuja szád.
Csak ez kétségtelen,
Míg házad az evilág.
Számhoz a bort emelem,
A szememet terád.

Alternatív fordítások:

A bor kapuja a száj,
A szerelemé a szem.
Ez az, mit tudni muszáj,
Míg élünk idelenn.
Igya e bort e száj,
S emeljem rád szemem.

Szememre a szerelem,
A bor meg a számra vár;
Csak ez kétségtelen,
Mielőtt jön a halál.
Ezt számhoz emelem,
Az mindjárt rádtalál.
