Le petit garçon avait dessiné une maison;

La première partie, faite au printemps, en était très bleu avec un nauge bien

La seconde, dessinée en été, éclatait de soleil;

La troisime, conçue en automne, était couverte de feuilles d’arbre mortes;

 

Le petit garçon, dans son tableau, avait aussi collé du jour, de la nuit noire

Il y avait également une mère, un père, des enfants, un chien et des oiseaux.

Enfin, il avait ajouté du bonheur et des larmes.

A kisfiú egy házat képzelt a rajzlapra;

Tavasszal fölhúzta a falakat, kéklett az ég, gomolyogtak a felhők;

Nyáron a zsindelyek fölé Napot is helyezett, zuhogott a fény;

Ősszel azt gondolta, jó lesz, ha fölviszek rá lehullott faleveleket,

 

És a kisfiú csak ragasztott, ragasztott éjjel és nappal,

Volt már azon egy apa s egy anya, és sok gyerek, kutya és madár.

Végül a boldogságát könnyekkel maszatolta a lapra.
