Benő Attila: (Megérkezés)

Portre of Benő Attila

(Megérkezés) (Hungarian)

Megérkeztem.

Megtisztítom magam

mindattól, ami rám tapadt,

bogáncsoktól, tövisektől.

Ami volt, belőlem kiszakad.

Levetem találgatásaim.

Kinéznék magamból.

Túl a tekintetek botlásain.

Régvolt képek, foltos vázlatok.

Félretolom a múltam.

Elfüggönyzök minden távlatot.

A szélben a gondolat lebben.

Vagyok a nincstelenben.

Kisimulnak, olvashatóvá lesznek

összegyűrt, elvetett tények.

Elhagyom várakozásaim,

mint fölösleges kelléket.

Magamban félúton elakadtan

vagyok a vagyontalanságban,

látomást levedve, ágról szakadtan.

Lassítom a tüneményeket,

a fűszálak száradását,

a kósza szél áramlását.

Érintések már nem fénylenek.

Nő a súlya az árnyaknak.

Ázott könyvek száradnak.

Vagyok

az útvesztő időben.

El-eltűnve,

mindig visszatérőben.

(Arrival) (English)

I’ve arrived.

I clean myself of all

that’s stuck on me,

of thistles and thorns.

What there was is torn out of me.

I strip off my guesses.

I’d look out of myself.

Over the stumbles of looks.

Long-lost pictures, smeared drafts.

I shove my past off.

I curtain up all perspectives.

The thought flickers in the wind.

I exist in have-nots.

Uncrumpled, decipherable appear

once creased, rejected facts.

I leave my expectations behind

as needless details.

Stuck half-way within myself

I exist in destitution,

visions cast off, I look seedy.

I slow down visions,

the withering of grass,

the flowing of gentle-mild wind.

Touches shine no more.

Shadows become heavier.

Soaked books getting dry.

I exist

in the labyrinth of time.

Lost now and then,

always returning.
