Faludy György: Kalkuttai Teréz

Portre of Faludy György

Kalkuttai Teréz (Hungarian)

Hogy Krisztus szenvedését látja minden
haldoklóban, vagy csak az emberi
lét nyomorát, s a dogmák szövedéke
közt mint teremtett ilyen mennyei

rendet magában, titok; de csak így
tudta Káli kolera-sújtott papját
roskadó, öreg vállára felvenni
a kalkuttai pocsolyából; másként

rég megtört volna India ezernyi
borzalma s kínja közt - és máshogyan
nem törölgetné szemsarkát mindenki

e tőle olyan idegen, sovány
albán vénasszony láttán, ki a jóság
szépségét hordja ezüst homlokán.

Tereza din Calcutta (Romanian)

Ea vede suferinţele lui Hristos
în toţi muribunzii, sau doar necazul
vieţii umane, şi-n desul dogmelor
cum şi-a intocmit divine reguli

în conştiinţa-i, e un secret, numai
astfel putea lua pe umeri-i slabi,
bătrâni, popa bolnavă de colera
Kali din mocirla Calcuttei; altfel de

mult s-ar fi istovit de groaznicele
chinuri ale Indiei – şi altfel nimeni
colţul ochilor prea des n-ar şterge

pentru femeia bătrână, slabă,
necunoscută albaneză care
harul bunătăţii pe fruntea-i poartă.
