Colonna, Vittoria: Sonetto LXI

Portre of Colonna, Vittoria

Sonetto LXI (Italian)

nel quale Vittoria ricorda il ritorno vittorioso di Ferrante a Ischia

Qui fece il mio bel sole a noi ritorno,

di regie spoglie carco e ricche prede;

ahi con quanto dolor l’occhio rivede

quei lochi ove mi fea già chiaro il giorno!

Di mille gorie alor cinto d’intorno,

e d’onor vero, in la più alta sede

facean de l'opre udite intera fede

l’ardito volto e 'l parlar saggio e adorno.

Vinto dai prieghii miei poi ne mostrava

le belle cicatrici, e ‘l tempo e ‘l modo

de le vittorie sue tante e sì chiare;

quanta pena or mi dà gioia mi dava,

e 'n questo e 'n quel pensier piangendo godo

tra poche dolci e assai lagrime amare.

Szonett LXI (Hungarian)

Emlékezik holt férjének diadalmas visszatérésére Ischiába

Itt tért vissza dús prédával az én szép

napom, királyi kinccsel megrakodva...

Jaj, mily fájóan látja most viszont a

szemem e helyet, hol ő szórta fényét!

Fejének babér s pálma adta ékét;

dicsőség, tisztesség, – ez volt a zsoldja.

Nevét és rangját híven igazolta

a büszke arc s a nagy szóbeli készség.

Addig kérleltem, amíg megmutatta

szép sebeit, sok híres győzedelme

sokfelé szerzett számos hirdetőjét.

Öröm volt minden, ami borulat ma:

csak ebben békülök meg, egyre nyelve

az édes könnyet – de keserüt főként.
