Radauskas, Henrikas: Madman’s stomp (Bepročio šokis in English)

Portre of Radauskas, Henrikas

Bepročio šokis (Lithuanian)

Štai prasideda bepročio šokis:

Abiem rankom smūgis į langą.

O, pasauli, sustok ir juokis

Ir klausykis, kaip stiklas žvanga.

Penktas aukštas - visai neaukštas,

O ten sukas žemė - žemai,

O danguj lekia linijos laužtos:

Ima šokti kreivi namai.

O jam skrenda rankos ir kojos,

O nuo bufeto tyška stiklai.

Spinduliai kaip žaibai šakojas

Ir į sieną muša aklai.

Rėmuos ima peizažai žviegti:

Net Van Goghui daros baugu.

Ritmas pradeda kambarį pliekti

Nesustojančiu botagu.

Visas butas žvengia ir žvanga.

Apačioj apmirus minia.

O dabar - kaip akmuo pro langą,

Pamėginkit pagaut mane.

Madman’s stomp (English)

For starters, stomp

The window both hands.

Stop whirling, world. Laugh

And listen. Hear the glass? Clang!

Five flights up is no high flying.

Where the earth turns, turn it off.

When slumped buildings start thumping,

The skyline breaks up in jerks.

His hands and feet go flying

Like drinks off a well-stocked bar.

Sunbeams branch out, like lightning

Smacked blind into a wall.

Framed landscapes take on a keen whine,

So even the Van Gogh's scared stiff.

Rhythm swings into the room

With a whip won't quit.

Bangs and screeches all over the place

Hold the crowd below stunned.

Like a rock through the. glass

To try and catch, here I come.
