Portre of Janík, Pavol

Klavír (Slovak)

Až budeme mať každý svoj kľúč
od toho istého bytu,
presťahujem kus záhrady
na druhé poschodie.

Niekedy ta prídem i osobne.
Čistý
a starostlivo oholený
počúvať domáce koncerty.

Naisto prídem,
ťarbavo ako klavír,
a vždy práve tak ako on naladený.

Piano (English)

The moment we each have our own key
to the same flat
I’ll shift a piece of the garden
to the second floor.

Sometimes I’ll come personally.
Clean
and carefully shaved
to listen to home concerts.

I’ll come for sure
clumsily like a piano,
and always well-tempered.
