Christoph August Tiedge (1752-184I) - költő; a hallei egyetemen jogot tanult, egy ideig házitanítóskodott, később von der Recke grófnő útikísérője volt, aki ráhagyta vagyonát. Korában divatos verseit főként Schiller idealisztikus gondolati lírája inspirálta; népdalszerű hangvételű dalai maradandóbbnak bizonyultak.
