Wilhelm Hauff (1802. november 29. – 1827. november 18.) német író, költő, meseíró, a biedermeier korszak alakja. Három gyűjteményt (almanachot) adott ki meséiből, amelyek világszerte ismertté váltak. Például A gólyakalifa, A kis Mukk története, A spessarti fogadó.
