Biography

José Joaquín Pesado (1801-1861); mexikói „akadémikus" költő, regényíró, műfordító. A romantika korában is a XVII. századi olasz – spanyol reneszánsz szellemét képviselte. Hangulatos népies életképeket is írt, szívesen fordult a spanyol hóditás előtti amerikai múlt felé.
