Uploaded by | P. T. |

For exiled people (English)
Nothing there to touch with your hand no bread, nor "good night", nor that chair where what is near and at the same time far goes off and then shines. Nothing is there: above a gloomy September another luminous September crosses. Not even salt is there, or "how are you": only foreign death intruding and a strange wall. No one on the bus looks at you or greets you, you do not know if at the end of the ride will be that stop and that sight that breaks your body in two and lays it bare. Nothing is there: if you hear some steps going up the stairs, "who might it be"?, you think of a spot of the cordillera and of your native land and of other embraces. No one's in the letter you receive: which you place in your pocket, and suddenly you feel you are no longer there, with undecided terror of not being anymore when you leave. No one saw you leave, or knows where your hand drops in another land. No one responds, and nothing is there, while your door closed and closes.
